Alanya He Who Poured Concrete for Illegal Construction Burned
With the new law coming into force, an administrative fine of 500 thousand liras will be imposed on individuals and institutions that provide ready-mixed concrete to unlicensed illegal buildings.
Turkey Law No. 7579, adopted by the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly (TBMM) and published in the Official Gazette on 22 May 2026, brought a radical sanction against illegal construction. With the amendment made in Article 42 of the Zoning Law No. 3194, an administrative fine of 500 thousand TL will be imposed on individuals and companies that supply ready-mixed concrete and place it on the market for constructions that are unlicensed or for which the necessary permits have not been obtained. With the new law, not only those who built the illegal structure, but also the companies that provided logistical and material support to this process became under heavy responsibility.
Critical Step for Alanya's Future
This regulation is of vital benefit for Alanya, which is one of the districts where construction pressure is felt most intensely due to rapid population growth, intense tourism investments and limited land supply. It is envisaged that illegal construction, which directly threatens the natural beauty, aesthetics and infrastructure balance of the city, will be largely curbed by cutting off the flow of "concrete", which is the lifeblood of construction. It will create a strong shield to prevent material flow, ensure zoning discipline throughout Alanya and prevent unfair rent.
Licensing Warning to Manufacturers and Suppliers
After the law came into force, local administrations also underlined the responsibilities of companies producing and shipping concrete. While it was emphasized that the sanctions would be applied uncompromisingly, it was stated that suppliers should check the legal status of the construction sites from which they receive orders in order to avoid victimization. Companies need to carefully examine the permits and construction licenses of the structures to be poured with concrete before the casting process. Persons and organizations that make shipments without doing this inspection will face heavy fines if they are detected.
