Meaningful Nature Activity by ALKU Children

Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKÜ) Practice Kindergarten students met with nature through field training organized within the scope of lifelong learning. In the activities held within the framework of the Faculty of Education Preschool Teaching program courses, children both had fun and experienced a permanent learning process.

Saplings Met with the Soil

In the first stage of the program, saplings were planted in the previously burned forest area in Alanya Aliefendi District. In this activity, organized in cooperation with the Alanya Forestry Directorate, little students, together with their parents and university students, brought the saplings together with the soil. Thanks to the event, it was aimed for children to gain environmental awareness and love of nature, while undergraduate students, who are future teacher candidates, also gained professional practice experience.

Strawberry Harvest Experience in the Greenhouse

In the second part of the nature education, fruits grown by soilless farming method in a greenhouse in Kargıcak District were introduced. The little ones from ALKU who participated in the strawberry picking event had the chance to observe the growing process of the fruits on site. The students, who tasted the strawberries they picked with their own hands and offered them to each other, actively participated in the production processes. The activities, which were also attended by ALKU Application Kindergarten Director Şeker and school staff, were completed with a souvenir photo taken.
