Antalya Police Dry Up Criminal Centers One by One

Antalya Provincial Security Directorate units carried out giant operations throughout the province in the last week within the scope of their efforts to combat smuggling and organized crime. In large-scale activities covering Kepez, Aksu, Muratpaşa, Manavgat and Alanya districts, criminal organizations and smugglers were dealt a heavy blow.

A Comprehensive Operation Against Organized Crime

Within the scope of the operations, judicial proceedings were taken against many people on charges of Violation of Law No. 6136, establishing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes, bribery, embezzlement and laundering the assets obtained from crime. As a result of the procedures, many suspects were arrested and sent to prison. During the searches, many firearms and cartridges belonging to these weapons were seized and preserved. In addition, legal proceedings were initiated against the suspects for counterfeiting money and Opposition to Law No. 5607.

Great Success in the Fight Against Smuggling

As a result of the field work carried out simultaneously by the teams in Kepez, Aksu, Muratpaşa, Manavgat and Alanya districts; thousands of smuggled commodities, packs of smuggled cigarettes, liters of smuggled liquor and many electronic cigarettes were caught. During the studies, the persons wanted with finalized prison sentences were also caught and brought to justice.
