Big Blow to Smugglers in Alanya and Districts

Antalya Provincial Police Department Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch teams have carried out comprehensive operations in the last week to ensure peace and security throughout the province. Raids were carried out at the addresses determined in Muratpaşa, Konyaaltı, Kepez, Manavgat and Alanya districts.

No Passage to Organized Crime

Many suspects were detained in the investigations carried out against the crimes of establishing an organization for the purpose of committing a crime, aggravated plunder and opposition to Law No. 6136. While some of the suspects who were referred to the judicial authorities were released on the condition of judicial control, individuals who were found to be involved in organized crime activities were arrested and sent to prison. During the searches carried out at the suspects' residences and workplaces, many pistols, long-barreled weapons and ammunition for these weapons were seized.

Illegal Products and Cyber Crimes Caught

During the searches carried out by the security forces in workplaces, warehouses and residences, more than a thousand smuggled macarons, packaged cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, tobacco and many customs smuggled mobile phones were seized. Judicial proceedings were also completed against individuals who violated Law No. 5607 for crimes of disrupting and obstructing information systems. In addition, many wanted persons with finalized prison sentences and arrest warrants were caught by police officers and brought to justice.
