Big Blow to Smugglers in Alanya and Surroundings

Large-scale operations were carried out by the Police Department units within the scope of the fight against smuggling and organized crime in Antalya province and Muratpaşa, Aksu, Serik, Kepez, Manavgat and Alanya districts. As a result of simultaneous inspections carried out in the last week, illegal activities in the region were dealt a heavy blow.

Weapons and Counterfeit Money Seized

During the searches, legal action was taken against individuals for the crime of violating Law No. 6136, and many unlicensed guns and cartridges were seized. During the meticulous studies carried out within the scope of money counterfeiting, fake banknotes were found and legal proceedings were initiated against the suspects. Security forces also protected smuggled historical artifacts that were tried to be put on the market during operations against people who opposed Law No. 2863.

Tobacco Products and Illegal Liquor Operation

A significant amount of smuggling products were seized during inspections against the Law No. 5607, which were concentrated especially in the Muratpaşa, Aksu, Serik, Kepez, Manavgat and Alanya regions. As a result of the teams' meticulous searches, many macaroons, packs of cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, kilograms of tobacco and liters of illicit alcohol were seized. On the other hand, during the inspections, people wanted with a finalized prison sentence were also identified and brought to justice.
