Fake Prosecutor Profiteer Caught in a Tight Grip

Antalya Provincial Security Directorate Public Security Branch Directorate teams carried out a large-scale study against people who defrauded the people they called on the phone. The teams, which took action upon the complaint of a citizen named T.B., who believed in fraudsters who introduced themselves as public officials, brought the suspect who made a million-dollar profiteering to justice.

He handed over millions of liras in fear

The victim T.B. fell into the trap of people who called him on the phone and introduced him as the chief inspector and public prosecutor. The suspects put intense pressure on the citizen, claiming that his identity was used in an incident. Believing these directions, the victim handed over the foreign currency amounting to approximately 3 million 300 thousand liras, including 55 thousand 940 dollars and 15 thousand euros. After realizing that the situation was fraudulent, an application was made to the security forces.

Caught Outside the City and Sent to Prison

After the notification, the police teams started a detailed follow-up and detained the person named İ.H.D., who was determined to be the perpetrator of the incident, in a successful operation outside the borders of the Antalya. The mobile phone and sim card seized from the suspect were confiscated for examination. The suspect, who was referred to the judicial authorities after the procedures at the police station, was arrested and sent to prison on the charge of "Qualified Fraud". The authorities reiterated the warning that no public official would demand money or gold from citizens and emphasized that such calls should not be relied upon.
