No Passage for Poison Traders and Smugglers

Antalya Provincial Police Directorate units carried out comprehensive operations throughout the province in the last week within the scope of the fight against smuggling and organized crime. As a result of the meticulous studies carried out, many suspects were caught and referred to the judicial authorities for the crimes of establishing an organization to commit crimes, smuggling of historical artifacts and smuggling of tobacco products.

Organized Crime Group Dismantled

A legal action was taken against the suspect who was detained during the operations carried out for the crime of establishing an organization to commit crimes. The person who was referred to the courthouse was arrested by the court and sent to prison. In another operation organized within the scope of the crime of Violating Law No. 2863 (Historical Artifact Smuggling), a judicial control order was imposed on the suspect who was caught. During the searches in this operation, many historical coins and objects were seized and taken under protection.

Simultaneous Raids in Five Districts

Muratpaşa, Kepez, Konyaaltı, Manavgat and Alanya. Thousands of packs of smuggled cigarettes, commodities, mobile phones, liters of smuggled alcohol, electronic cigarettes and kilograms of tobacco were seized during the searches carried out within the scope of the crime of violating Law No. 5607. While judicial proceedings were initiated against the suspicious persons regarding the smuggled materials in question, people for whom there were arrest warrants were brought to justice in the investigations against the wanted persons.
