Alanya Municipality's Definitive Scalpel for Landslide Problems
Alanya Municipality and State Hydraulic Works started a joint work against the risk of landslide in Benliler Creek in Küçükhasbahçe District.
A comprehensive study has been initiated to eliminate possible risks in Benliler Creek, which came to the fore with the danger of landslides last winter. Within the scope of field activities carried out in cooperation with Alanya Municipality Directorate of Technical Affairs teams and State Hydraulic Works, materials accumulated in the stream bed are cleaned and security measures are increased.
Field Studies Examined On-Site
Alanya Deputy Mayor İrem Yunusoğlu, Municipal Council Members Şahin Ararat and Engin Alataş and Küçükhasbahçe District Headman Hilmi Sezen inspected the works in the stream located within the borders of Küçükhasbahçe District. Yunusoğlu, who received information from the authorities during the investigations, emphasized that inter-institutional cooperation will continue uninterrupted in order to ensure the safety of life and property of citizens throughout the city.
Risks Are Minimized
The authorities stated that the streams should be cleaned regularly against possible flood and landslide dangers, and noted that interventions in risky areas will continue without slowing down before the winter period.
