Antalya Cumhuriyet Square Ornamental Pool is Renewed with Environmentally Friendly Technologies

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality carried out renovation projects in the symbolic ornamental pool in Cumhuriyet Square, which is the meeting point of local and foreign visitors. In the pool, which will be updated with environmentally friendly and modern technology, water and light shows will be rearranged, accompanied by music, as in the past.

"The Architectural Appearance is Being Renewed Without Deteriorating"

Sharing details about the project and the work carried out in the field, Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Technical Affairs Department Head Serdar Oruç Gün stated that the pool was closed due to insulation weaknesses in the past. Gün stated that they started the renovation process while preserving the architectural appearance, and noted that the projects have been completed and the construction phase has begun.

"Water-Saving Eco-Friendly Pool"

Stating that the work is expected to be completed within three months, Gün said that the project, which will be equipped with modern fountains and light systems, has been designed in an environmentally friendly structure, compatible with the COP31 World Climate Summit targets, with minimum water consumption.

Field Work is Progressing Rapidly

Demolition, pipe, fountain and electrical installation dismantling operations have been completed in the area consisting of two separate sections. While concrete pouring works continue in the area leveled with work machines, the renewed landmark structure is aimed to be put into service in the first days of 2027.
