Antalya Protocol Met at the Unity Table

Aşure Biscuit Program organized by Hacı Bektaşi Veli Anatolian Culture Foundation Antalya Branch was held with the city protocol and the intense participation of many citizens. In the organization where the Ashura tradition, which is one of the symbols of the culture of unity, solidarity and sharing, was kept alive, the spiritual climate of the month of Muharram was perceived together.

Speaking at the program, Governor Hulusi Şahin emphasized that the Ashura events held during the month of Muharram strengthen social solidarity. Şahin stated that the cemevi to be built in the area where the event is held will not only be a place of worship, but also an important center where cultural values ​​will be kept alive and transferred to younger generations, and drew attention to the importance of the project. Stating that the cemevi project, which will be implemented in cooperation with Antalya Governorship, Kepez Municipality and İmam Rıza Cemevi Association, is an exemplary model of solidarity, Şahin noted that the rough construction process will be completed by collective work and the subsequent works will be continued with the support of the governorship.

Emphasis on Cultural Heritage

Stating that the Alevi-Bektashi culture is one of the deep-rooted values of the Turkish nation, Governor Şahin said that this culture is an important heritage that keeps the understanding of justice, equity, cooperation, mercy and unity alive. Şahin stated that Cemevis undertake an important task in transferring these values ​​to future generations and said, "We will always be on the side of the right, the righteous and the oppressed. Our faith advises us to command goodness and stand against evil." Kepez District Governor Suat Dervişoğlu, Kepez Mayor Mesut Kocagöz and İmam Rıza Cemevi President Ergün Kent also participated in the program. The event ended with a Ashura meal and a souvenir photo shoot.
