ALKÜ's Scientific Power was Crowned with TUBITAK

Alanya Scientific studies carried out within Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKÜ) continue to bear fruit. 6 different projects prepared by university academics in the first four months of 2026 were accepted by TÜBİTAK and were entitled to receive support. Projects that reveal the academic potential of the city cover a wide range from archeology to technology, from health to food.

Projects Focus on Social Benefit

Within the scope of cooperation and technology-oriented studies, Assoc. Dr. H. "An Ancient City and Theater Project of Syedra (Seki, Alanya, Antalya) in Cilicia, carried out by Ertuğ Ergürer, TÜBİTAK 2509 will be supported within the scope of the Bilateral Cooperation Program with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France. Faculty of Education Lecturer Assoc. Dr. Ceyhun Ersan received approval from the 1002-A Quick Support Module with the project he prepared on sleep disorders in preschool children. Assoc. Prof. at the Faculty of Engineering. Dr. Akın Oktav defect detection in textile products, Dr. Lecturer Its member Kübra Ayan came to the fore with her projects to obtain rich fractions from olive oil pulp. In the field of health, Assoc. Dr. Gozde Orhan Kubat and Dr. Lecturer Member Fatih Uçkaya was deemed worthy of TÜBİTAK support with the work they prepared.

Rector Türkdoğan Congratulated the Success

Rector Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmet Türkdoğan stated that it was an honor to have the projects accepted. Stating that the scientific production power of the university is proven by the devoted work of academics, Türkdoğan emphasized that these projects will contribute not only to the academic world but also to social development. Underlining the importance given to research and development activities, Türkdoğan stated that they will continue to support scientific projects to increase the national and international visibility of ALKÜ.
