A Giant Step for the Energy of the Future

Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKÜ) continues its efforts to strengthen university-industry cooperation and combine scientific knowledge with industrial experience. In this context, ALKÜ and CW Enerji Mühendislik Ticaret ve Sanayi A.Ş. A strategic cooperation protocol focusing on smart energy systems and R&D was signed between the companies.

At the signing ceremony, the protocol was attended by Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University Rector Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmet Türkdoğan and CW Enerji R&D and Innovation Director Prof. Dr. Şadan Özcan signed. Vice Rectors Prof. attended the ceremony. Dr. Mehmet Kılıç, Prof. Dr. Atıf Bayramoğlu and Board Member Prof. Dr. İsmail Yüksek attended.

Collaborative Studies in Renewable Energy and Technology

Within the scope of cooperation, it is envisaged to develop R&D and innovation activities in areas such as solar energy systems, energy storage technologies, smart energy management systems, internet of things (IoT), embedded systems, data analytics and digital transformation. The studies to be carried out by mutual agreement of the parties aim to design new products, develop prototypes, carry out testing and verification activities, and transfer the developed technologies to the industry.

The protocol covers project applications for national and international support programs as well as joint scientific studies. In this regard, the development and execution of joint projects for funding sources such as TÜBİTAK, Turkish Health Institutes Presidency (TÜSEB) and the European Union can be evaluated.

Applied Training and Internship Opportunity for Students

Within the scope of the protocol, which also focuses on the educational dimension of university-industry cooperation, it is planned to carry out joint studies at undergraduate and graduate levels and organize seminars, workshops, technical training and certificate programs. It is aimed to support students' participation in internships and field practices, to gain sector experience through technical trips, and to develop cooperation activities for the employment of graduates.

Within the scope of the protocol, studies will be carried out to transfer the scientific and technological outputs developed at the university to the industry, to support patent and utility model processes, to evaluate licensing opportunities and to commercialize jointly developed products. While Rector Türkdoğan stated that cooperation with public institutions and the private sector will be strengthened thanks to Alanya TEKNOKENT and Alanya TEKMER, Director Özcan wished that the cooperation would pave the way for innovative projects.
