Strict Control of School Environments in Antalya

Within the scope of the Safe Schools project carried out under the coordination of the Children's Branch Directorate of the Police Department, new measures have been implemented to make the schools in the province safer.

Strict Security Measures Around Schools

In line with the Security Decision issued by the Governorship of Antalya, measures were taken to protect students from violence, substance addiction and harmful habits in the immediate vicinity of primary, secondary, high school and equivalent schools, within 50 meters, in their gardens and in front of their doors. Persons, students and parents who are not related to the school will be removed from the school environment. Students will not be allowed to wait at and around the school gate during and outside class hours without an excuse.

Public Areas and Noise Prohibitions

All public and private primary, secondary and high school students will not be allowed into public venues, entertainment and rest areas during education hours. In addition, loud music will be prohibited around the school and street vendors will be prevented from making sales through announcements or touting. Legal action will be taken against those who do not comply with the rules, in accordance with the Provincial Administration Law No. 5442 and the 1st paragraph of Article 32 of the Misdemeanor Law No. 5326.
