Alanya Pharmacist Güzin Velittin Bekrioğlu Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School students successfully completed the closing program of the joint environmental project of Spain and Hungary.

Young People Stepping into the Green Future Had Their Eyes on Europe
Titled "Be My Green Guide in my Town", which is carried out in partnership with Alanya Pharmacist Güzin Velittin Bekrioğlu Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, Spain and Hungary Realized the mobility of the Erasmus+ KA210VET project in Hungary. In the international program, where nature-friendly, environmentally friendly and carbon footprint-reducing activities were discussed, studies were carried out in line with the goals of a sustainable future and green tourism. At the last stop of the project carried out together with the Spanish coordinator Formacion Academia Barcelona and the Hungarian partner BSZC ZWACK, the delegation consisting of teachers and students left behind a productive training week.

Educational Systems and Sustainability Examined

The delegation visited the host school within the scope of the program and had the opportunity to closely examine the educational areas and application workshops of the institution. Students received detailed information about the education system and in-school sustainability practices and came together with their foreign peers and carried out joint studies. In accordance with the main theme of the project, informative presentations were made on the importance of sustainability in tourism, the steps taken so far and innovative projects that can be done in the future. Participating students exchanged ideas on environmentally friendly tourism models that reduce carbon footprint.

Field Visit to Natural Areas and Eco-Market

In the program, which focused on field visits as well as theoretical training, a national park in Hungary was visited and biodiversity and protected natural areas were examined on-site. In addition, thanks to the visit to the local market (eco-market) established in the region, the role of supporting local production and preventing carbon emissions was observed in practice.

Alanya District National Education Director Yusuf Yılmaz thanked the administrators, teachers and students who represented the school and Türkiye in the best way during the project process and wished them continued success. School administrators and project coordinator teachers Yalçın Bilir, Zerhan Dim Özen, Mehmet Öztoprak and Nuray Şimşek were also present in the visit program. It was stated that the gains made will continue to be disseminated in schools throughout the district.
