Giant Tournament on Sand Started

The International Bioderma Pro Beach Tour Alanya Grand Slam Championship, which is of great importance as the opening organization of the summer season in beach volleyball, started in Alanya. The giant organization, in which a total of 64 teams and 128 athletes participated, will witness breathtaking struggles at the Alanya International Beach Sports Center throughout the weekend. The tournament, organized in cooperation with the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), Turkish Volleyball Federation (TVF), Alanya Municipality and Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV), brought together athletes and sports fans.

64 Teams Compete in the Sand

Athletes from many countries, especially Estonya, Belarus, Rusya and Çek Cumhuriyeti, as well as Turkey, perform on the sand field to lift the championship trophy. While the matches played on the first day of the tournament attracted great attention from the audience, the high tempo displayed by the athletes was highly appreciated. Reinforcing Alanya's strong position in sports tourism, the organization has become an important stop for local and foreign visitors.
