Beehive Support from the Metropolitan to the Producers

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality continues its efforts without slowing down in order to increase beekeeping activities throughout the city and to support producers. Within the scope of the project carried out in line with local development goals, pollen trap hives were distributed to producers who have a beekeeping certificate and make a request.

1200 Hives Delivered in the First Stage

In the first stage of the distributions organized by the Department of Agricultural Services, a total of 1200 hives were given to 400 producers determined from 5 central districts. The Metropolitan Municipality, which encourages citizens to produce with free beekeeping courses, continues to contribute to the sector with hive support. It was reported that the distributions will continue in the eastern and western districts throughout the week.

Quality and Support Thanks from Producers

The producers, who received their hives after the trainings, expressed their satisfaction with the opportunities provided. It was emphasized that the distributed hives were produced from healthy pine wood and were the most useful model with their pollen trap structure. Drawing attention to the cost increases in the sector, the producers stated that such grants offered by the Metropolitan Municipality are of great importance for the sustainability of beekeeping.
