The Excitement of Young Inventors Takes Shape in Antalya

The 18th International MEB Robot Competition, organized by the Ministry of National Education this year, started with a ceremony held at the Antalya Sports Hall. In the organization held with the theme of "Green Homeland, Blue Future", 3,600 robots in 16 different categories took to the stage for technology enthusiast young people to demonstrate their skills. The competition will continue until May 8 with the participation of students from all over Turkey and abroad.

Technology and Innovation Stage

Antalya Governorship, TÜBİTAK and TIKA attended the opening of the event organized in cooperation with Governor Hulusi Şahin, Ministry of National Education Vocational and Technical Education General Director Salih. Kaygusuz, TÜBİTAK Vice President Mesut Güner, Konyaaltı District Governor Rahmi Köse, Kepez District Governor Suat Dervişoğlu and Döşemealtı District Governor Ünal Çakıcı attended. The program, which started with a moment of silence and the National Anthem, was enlivened with folk dance performances by the students.

"Young People Will Design the Future"

Speaking at the opening, Governor Şahin congratulated all the participants, stating that the young people worked hard and exhibited their bright ideas on a large platform. Drawing attention to the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP31, which will be held in Antalya in November, Şahin touched upon the importance of an environmentally friendly vision. Referring to the national achievements at the Defense Industry Fair held in Istanbul, Şahin emphasized that technological breakthroughs will take the world to a better future not only in the field of defense, but also with artificial intelligence and robotic systems. After the opening ribbon was cut, a draw was held and protocol members visited the stands and received information about the projects from the students.
