Alanya Shifts Up the Service Race
Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik, who announced the giant infrastructure, asphalt and vision projects in the district at the July Ordinary Assembly Meeting of Alanya Municipality, stated that they continue the investments that will carry the city to the future without interruption.
Alanya Municipality July Ordinary Council Meeting was held under the chairmanship of Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik. At the meeting, infrastructure, asphalting, cultural projects and vector control works carried out in the district were discussed. Making important statements on many issues, from the fight against illegal buildings to the renewal of the vehicle fleet, Mayor Özçelik stated that they have prepared a very serious road and asphalting program throughout the city and that they plan to complete all targeted projects as long as the climate conditions allow.
Massive Investment Move Coordinated with Infrastructure Companies
Özçelik stated that coordination was established with investor infrastructure companies in order to prevent frequent digging of avenues and streets in the district, and announced that they started planning by coming together with electricity, water, natural gas and fiber optic companies. Stating that the infrastructure works in the area between the Atatürk Monument and the Highways will start in November, Özçelik said that the works carried out on the main streets in the Kestel, Mahmutlar, Konaklı and Payallar neighborhoods aim to create a sustainable city. Emphasizing that the pavement works on Atatürk Street were completed early, Özçelik noted that they prevented the victimization of tradesmen and citizens by completing the 240-day work in 90 days.
Full Support for Rural Development and Agricultural Production
Announcing that they have initiated a move to bring the municipality's idle lands into production, Özçelik stated that they will start agricultural activities by planting 2,500 saplings of avocado varieties in the Elikesik Region and will add visual value to tourism by planting lavender saplings. Akdeniz University Faculty Member Prof. gave information to the parliament about the vector control efforts in the city. Dr. Hüseyin Çetin announced that after the heaviest rainfall period of the last 65 years, uninterrupted disinfection was carried out using scientific methods in 102 neighborhoods with 242 personnel. Touching on the issue of sea cleaning, Özçelik added that they are waiting for the necessary permit approval from the ministry for the operation of sea surface cleaning vehicles. With the decision taken at the end of the meeting, the parliament went on recess for a month, and it was decided that the next session would be held on September 1.
