Alanya Youth with One Heart Following in the Footsteps of Their Ancestors

19 May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day was celebrated with widely attended events held in Alanya district. The program, organized in cooperation with Alanya District Governorate, Alanya Municipality and Alanya City Council, started with a cortege march and ended with the concert of the popular rap artist Ceza. For a walk; Alanya Municipality Deputy Mayor Murat Levent Koçak, City Council President Nurhan Özcan, protocol members and many citizens attended.

Streets Illuminated by Torches

Protocol members handed over the torches they lit to the young people during the march that took place on the route of Atatürk Street and İskele Street. Addressing the crowd who reached the concert area behind the Old City Hall accompanied by anthems and Turkish flags, City Council President Özcan emphasized that May 19 is the symbol of a nation's resurrection. Özcan expressed the trust in the youth by drawing attention to the belief in independence that spread from the city of Samsun to the lands of Anatolia.

Unforgettable Night with Punishment Songs

Deputy Mayor Koçak, who greeted the crowd on behalf of Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik, congratulated the young people on their holiday and wished them a good time. Famous rap music artist Ceza, who took the stage after the opening speeches, presented an unforgettable musical feast to thousands of people filling the square. At the end of the event, a painting with a Turkish flag figure made of flowers and a silk cocoon was presented to the artist as a gift by Koçak and Özcan.
