ALKÜ Pedalers Collected Medals in Alanya

The UNILIG Road and Mountain Bike Turkey Championship, which is included in the 2026 activity program of the Turkish University Sports Federation, was hosted by Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKÜ) between 13-15 April 2026. The organization, which started on the natural tracks of Alanya on the morning of April 14, was completed with the Mountain Bike races held on April 15. The host institution, ALKÜ, achieved important degrees in the organization with the outstanding performance of its athletes.

The Winners of the Championship Have Been Determined

In the Mountain Bike Turkey Championship held in Alanya Kızılalan, the athletes exhibited a fierce struggle. In the men's individual category, Emre Yuca from Selçuk University came first, Serdar Kara from Dokuz Eylül University came second and Ayberk Güngör from ALKÜ came third. In the Men's Team Classification, Dokuz Eylül University reached the first place trophy.

In the women's individual classification, Bursa Uludağ University athlete won Tuğçe Bitirim gold medals. Sevim Gerçek competing on behalf of ALKÜ came in second place and Ayça Erdoğan from Selçuk University came in third. Aksaray University won the championship in the Women's Team Classification.

Rector Türkdoğan Congratulated the Participating Teams

Making evaluations after the championship, ALKÜ Rector Türkdoğan stated that they are proud to host a national level organization as a university. Rector Türkdoğan stated that the determination of athletes from all over Turkey shows the unifying power of sports and thanked all universities and students who ranked high.
