Blue Mediterranean Shift from District Governor Öztürk

Carried out by the Governorship of Antalya; The evaluation meeting of the "Antalya Blue Mediterranean Initiative", which aims to protect the coasts and seas, prevent pollution at its source and strengthen sustainable environmental awareness, was held in Alanya. Representatives of public institutions and non-governmental organizations participated in the meeting chaired by District Governor Şakir Öner Öztürk.

At the meeting, the steps to be taken to protect Alanya's blue heritage were detailed. In addition to measures to prevent pollution at its source in seas, coasts and rivers, critical issues such as recycling, circular economy and strengthening waste management infrastructure were discussed. Participants emphasized that environmental stewardship is crucial for preserving the region's tourism potential.

Full Coordination Instruction Between Institutions

In order to carry out the process meticulously, a coordination plan was created by distributing tasks between institutions. District Governor Öztürk gave the necessary instructions to the relevant units to ensure that the activities to be carried out in the field are not interrupted and that the determined targets are achieved. The project, which is not only a cleaning campaign but also a permanent management model, aims to leave a clean Mediterranean to future generations.
