Demirtaş Beach is Entrusted to Volunteer Hands
Alanya Municipality and environmental volunteers cleaned the habitats of endangered creatures on the Demirtaş coast.
In cooperation with Alanya Municipality and the Alanya Nature Conservation and National Parks Directorate, a comprehensive cleaning and awareness study was carried out on the beach of Demirtaş District with the participation of environmental volunteers. The habitats of sand lilies and loggerhead sea turtles, which are among the natural riches of the region, were carefully cleaned. Alanya Municipality continues its projects to increase environmental awareness as well as routine cleaning activities. The event, which was held under the coordination of the Cleaning Affairs Directorate, both contributed to the protection of nature and strengthened social awareness.
Meticulous Cleaning Work in Sensitive Areas
In the cleaning work carried out by municipal teams and environmental volunteers, it was aimed to make the beaches cleaner, tidier and healthier before the summer season. While sensitivity was shown to prevent damage to the sand lilies, which are under protection, the nesting areas of caretta carettas were also meticulously cleaned.
Volunteers Mobilize to Protect Nature
Environmental volunteers who participated in the event thanked the Alanya Municipality and the Nature Conservation and National Parks Directorate teams for this meaningful organization that protects nature. With the cleaning of waste on the coastline, an important step was taken to protect the ecosystem.
