President Özçelik: Historical Infrastructure Pride of Alanya

Alanya Municipality's ordinary council meeting in May was held under the management of Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik. At the meeting, infrastructure projects, rural neighborhood investments and tourism vision focusing on the long-term benefit of the city were evaluated. It was emphasized that superficial works without a solid infrastructure would only be a temporary makeover for the city, and it was stated that the most comprehensive transformation moves in the history of the district had borne fruit. It was stated that these investments secure the future of Alanya.

Historical Transformation on Atatürk Street Completed

Extensive infrastructure works carried out on Atatürk Street, located in the heart of the city, were completed before the targeted date despite the difficult weather conditions. Water, natural gas, electricity and fiber internet lines were completely renewed in operations carried out in coordination with institutions such as ASAT, CK Akdeniz and ENERYA. Director of Technical Works Atahan Uyar stated that 15 thousand tons of hot asphalt was poured into the region and parquet renewal works are continuing rapidly. Tradesmen and citizens were given a sigh of relief by announcing that the same radical transformation move would be implemented in busy tourism and settlement centers such as Mahmutlar, Kestel and Dimçayı in the coming period.

Rural Development and Tourism Vision

A mobilization has been launched for rural neighborhood roads that were damaged in severe winter conditions. Road maintenance and repair works continued uninterruptedly in many regions such as Gümüşkavak, Uğurlu, Sapadere. Events that highlight the city's cultural and sports identity have also gained momentum. It was emphasized that the International Children's Festival, attended by 50 thousand people, and the sports organizations that will be broadcast live on global channels, contributed greatly to Alanya's worldwide brand value. On the other hand, it was shared with the public that the tender process of the Occo Beach restaurant was completed in a transparent manner, completely in accordance with legal procedures, and the site was delivered. Alanya City Council President Nurhan Özcan and Council Member Haydar Uyar were thanked for their contributions to the process.
