Republic Fire Will Re-Illuminate the Streets of Alanya

A comprehensive torchlight procession is organized in cooperation with Alanya City Council and Alanya Municipality on the occasion of 19 May Atatürk's Commemoration, Youth and Sports Day. Preparations have been completed for the march to be held on the 107th anniversary of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's arrival in Samsun.

Giant Gathering in Front of Atatürk Monument

As part of the march program, citizens will gather in front of the Atatürk Monument on Tuesday, May 19, at 20.00 in Alanya Atatürk. The cortege march will start at 20.30. While national unity and solidarity will be emphasized in the event, free Turkish flags will be distributed to participants in the march area.

Political Symbols Will Not Be Allowed

In the announcement made by Alanya City Council President Nurhan Özcan, it was stated that great importance was given to preserving the spirit of the national holiday. While it was stated that Turkish flags, which are a common value, would be used in the march, it was requested that pennants, banners and all kinds of political objects belonging to political parties or institutions should not be brought to the area. President Özcan invited all citizens to the torchlight procession to protect the values of independence.
