Natural Protection with Pheromone Traps

Pheromone traps are placed at strategic points against the Orthotomicus Erosus species, which causes serious damage to pine trees. In addition to this biotechnical method, which aims to control the harmful insect population, disinfection studies are carried out meticulously at designated focal points. In this way, it is aimed to stop the spread of pests and protect the existence of healthy trees.

Risky Trees Are Rapidly Removed

Within the scope of the struggle, not only pesticide application but also physical cleaning processes are prioritized. The trees detected in the city center of Alanya and completely dried out due to harmful insects are quickly removed from the field and destroyed in a controlled manner by the teams of the Alanya Municipality Parks and Gardens Directorate. With this application, the migration of insects to other trees is prevented and the possible forest fire risks caused by dry branches are minimized.
