The 60-year burden of the Demirtaş people is becoming history

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality has started a comprehensive renovation work at the historical transportation point in the Demirtaş Valley within the borders of the Alanya. The demolition of the 23-year-old bridge on the group road, which is actively used by a total of 60 neighborhoods together with the residents of the Gazipaşa and also provides connection to Konya and Karaman, has started. In order not to disrupt transportation, the alternative service road was completed and put into the service of the citizens. With the renovation of the bridge, it is expected that agricultural logistics and tourism mobility in the region will become safer and will provide a great long-term benefit in terms of Alanya economy and traffic safety.

Large-Scale Delegation Landed on the Field

A visit was made to the region to examine the demolition works of the historical bridge on site. Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Council Members Utkan Hasan Eminoğlu and Ulaş Özgen, Head of Mukhtar Department Cihangir Yılmaz, CHP Alanya District President Bülent Kandemir, Alanya Service Unit Manager Gazi Öten, President of the Mukhtars Association Rüştü Vural and the headmen of the surrounding neighborhoods attended the inspection tour. The delegation examined the demolition of the old bridge and the new service road and made evaluations about the construction process.

Expectation of Serious Relief in Regional Transportation

With the renewal of this point, which is a critical node in the transportation network of Alanya and surrounding districts, it is aimed to alleviate the traffic load. Councilor Eminoğlu emphasized that the route is of great importance not only for the local people but also for tourism activities. Vural, President of the Mukhtars Association, drew attention to the convenience that the project will provide to the residents of the region and thanked all relevant institutions for their work. Sapadere Neighborhood Headman Hamit Bac also stated that it is pleasing for the people of the region that this route, which has been problematic for many years, has a modern structure.
