Vital Warning from President Kandemir to Alanya
CHP Alanya District Chairman Bülent Kandemir drew attention to the increasing climate crisis within the scope of World Environment Day and called for urgent action against regional risks.
CHP Alanya District Chairman Bülent Kandemir, in his message published on the occasion of June 5 World Environment Day, emphasized that protecting the environment is not a daily activity, but a lifelong duty. President Kandemir stated that not only public institutions but also all individuals should take responsibility for the protection of nature.
Daily Habits Determine the Future
Kandemir pointed out that the environmental crisis is becoming more complex every year and stated that individual measures are of vital importance. Reminding that one liter of waste oil can pollute thousands of liters of water and that plastics remain in nature for centuries, Kandemir said that small steps such as energy saving and conscious consumption of water are the biggest contribution to the environment.
Mediterranean Basin Under Great Threat
Stating that the Mediterranean Basin, which includes Alanya, is among the regions that will be hardest hit by climate change, Kandemir warned against the risk of increasing temperatures, drought and forest fires. Touching on the importance of clean air, water and food for a healthy future, Kandemir emphasized that the steps taken in Stockholm in 1972 have become even more vital today, and that protecting nature directly means protecting life.#Alanya #EnvironmentDay #ClimateCrisis #Mediterranean #NatureProtection #Sustainability #BülentKandemir
