Red-handed in Million Dollar Profit with Fake Power of Attorney

Antalya Police Department Public Order Branch Directorate teams carried out a large-scale operation against the crime of qualified fraud. It was determined that the real estate worth millions of lira, located in Aksu district, belonging to V.E., an expatriate living in Germany, was intended to be sold with a fake power of attorney. The teams monitored the network before the title deed was transferred.

Red-handed Obstruction to Million Dollar Sales

The public order units took action, took precautions in and around the Aksu Land Registry Directorate, and caught the suspects red-handed during the transaction. Other individuals who were determined to be connected to the incident were detained in simultaneous raids in different provinces. During the searches carried out on the suspects and their vehicles, many mobile phones and SIM cards were seized, which were considered to be used in fraudulent activities.

Other Profit Plans Also Revealed

During the detailed technical investigations carried out by the security forces, it was revealed that the fraud network tried to sell two more separate real estate properties with a total value of millions of liras, using the same fake power of attorney method. Some of the suspects, who were referred to the judicial authorities on charges of Qualified Fraud after their procedures at the police station, were released on condition of judicial control, while other suspects were arrested and sent to prison.
