Tepe Surrendered to the Flames, Alanya is on Vigilance

A cover fire broke out in the Tepe District of Alanya for an unknown reason. The flames, which started at a point close to residential areas, spread over a wide area in a short time due to the effect of the strong wind. When smoke was seen from many parts of the city, residents reported the situation to the authorities.

Teams are Intervening in the Flames from Land and Air

Upon notice, many water tankers, water tankers and work machines affiliated with the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department and the Forest Management Directorate were dispatched to the region. In the region where the intervention is difficult due to the steep terrain, the teams are making intense efforts to prevent the wind from carrying the fire towards residential areas.

Security Measures Have Been Increased to the Higher Level in the Region

While the fire made it difficult to control in some places due to the effect of the wind, police and municipal police teams closed the transportation roads in the neighborhood to traffic and created a security corridor. Neighborhood residents also support the extinguishing efforts with rakes and water hoses. It was learned that some houses in the surrounding area were evacuated as a precaution in case the wind changed direction. Cooling and extinguishing intervention continues uninterruptedly.
