29 October Republic Day Enthusiasm in Antalya

29 October Republic Day and the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Türkiye were celebrated with enthusiasm with official ceremonies and programs held in Antalya. Within the scope of the celebrations, the first Congratulation Reception Ceremony was held at the Antalya Governorship Government House. Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin accepted the congratulations of the provincial protocol, representatives of public institutions and organizations, non-governmental organizations and citizens.

Program Held at Antalya Sports Hall

After the Official Acceptance Ceremony, Governor Hulusi Şahin and his accompanying delegation attended the celebration program at Antalya Sports Hall. The program started with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem, and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's October 29 Republic Day message was read. The poetry recitals and folk dance performances performed by the students were watched with admiration by the participants.

Values and Future Goals of the Republic

Speaking at the program, Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin stated that it is a common responsibility to protect the fundamental values of the Republic, protect national sovereignty and move Turkey forward in every field. Governor Şahin said, "The Republic has declared that sovereignty belongs unconditionally to the nation. It has based the source of legitimacy of the state on the will of the nation."

Governor Şahin stated that the goal of rising above the level of contemporary civilization demonstrated by Atatürk requires progress in the fields of science, education, law and technology, and emphasized that keeping the Republic alive is not limited to ceremonies only, but also in daily life. At the end of his speech, Şahin commemorated Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the heroes of the War of Independence and the beloved martyrs with mercy and gratitude, and congratulated the citizens on their holiday.
