Antalya Metropolitan Municipality continues air conditioning inspections in public transportation vehicles in order to ensure that citizens can travel comfortably and healthily in public transportation as temperatures rise in the summer months. Within the scope of the city-wide inspections carried out by the Transportation Planning and Rail System Department teams, inspections on busy routes have been increased.

Tight Tracking on Busy Routes

The teams were on alert during the inspections carried out on 100. Yıl Boulevard, one of Antalya's busiest transportation axes. At this critical point, where approximately 700 public transportation vehicles pass daily, the air conditioning systems of the vehicles are meticulously checked to see if they are working and whether they are suitable for passenger comfort. The teams issue necessary warnings and penal actions to drivers who do not turn on their air conditioners or do not operate them in a well-maintained manner.

Municipal officials stated that the use of air conditioning in public transportation is not a luxury but a necessity, especially due to increasing temperatures during the summer period. The metropolitan municipality, which aims to raise public transportation standards in Alanya and throughout, announced that it will immediately evaluate the complaints from citizens and continue air conditioning inspections uninterrupted throughout the summer season.
