Alanya Support for Akseki Forest Fire Was Not Delayed

A fire broke out for an unknown reason in the forest area between Menteşbey and Sarıhaliller neighborhoods in Antalya's Akseki district. As the flames spread due to the wind, many forestry and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the region.

Municipal Drainers Have Been Mobilized

In order to support the fire that started in the neighboring district, Alanya Municipality also took action quickly. Water trucks were sent to the fire area by the municipal administration to contribute to control and extinguishing efforts. Alanya Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik stated that the teams were involved in the work in a coordinated manner and expressed his hope that the fire would be brought under control as soon as possible and expressed his wishes for a speedy recovery.

Extinguishing Efforts Continue

The intensive intervention of the teams continues to control the fire, which continues to affect the steep terrain conditions. Work is being carried out from all sides, together with support teams from surrounding districts, to prevent the fire from spreading to residential areas.
