All Teams Stand Shoulder to Side in Fighting the Flames

Efforts to extinguish the forest fire, which started in Sapadere, Fakırcalı and Beldibi neighborhoods of Alanya district, continue intensively from land and air. Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Fire Brigade teams and ASAT personnel, in coordination with the Regional Directorate of Forestry and Alanya Municipality, are struggling in the region to prevent the flames from spreading to residential areas.

Protocol Follows the Fight on the Field

Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin, Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Büşra Özdemir and Alanya Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik went to the fire area and examined the extinguishing efforts on site. Stating that all resources were mobilized from the moment the first notice was received, Özdemir stated that the intervention continued uninterruptedly with 135 personnel and 44 vehicles in the field.

The fire was largely surrounded

Özdemir pointed out the low humidity and wind warning in the region and announced that the fire was surrounded by 80 percent. Emphasizing that the struggle continues with determination despite the difficult meteorological conditions, Özdemir conveyed his wishes to get well soon to the citizens in the disaster area.
