Ancient Yoruk Spirit Revived in the Streets of Kumluca
The 27th Traditional Agriculture and Greenhouse Festival held in Kumluca district started with the magnificent Yoruk Migration cortege attended by Governor Hulusi Şahin and the district protocol.
Cultural Heritage is Carried to the Future
Addressing the participants after the wreath presenting ceremony, Governor Şahin stated that Yoruk culture reflects the roots and essence of the Turkish nation. Stating that Yoruks carried not only their belongings but also national values such as language, tradition, hospitality and love of homeland during their journey from Central Asia to Anatolia throughout history, Şahin emphasized the importance of preserving this deep-rooted heritage. Drawing attention to the role of festivals in cultural transmission, Şahin congratulated those who contributed to the organization and stated that the Turkish flag flies proudly wherever there are Yoruks.
The Festival Will Continue with Events
The cortege march, enriched with traditional clothes, camels and local elements, attracted great attention from the district residents. Within the scope of the festival organized by Kumluca Municipality, various cultural competitions, agricultural events and concerts will continue to be held in the coming days. The event, which continues with the participation of local people and guests from surrounding districts, also contributes to the promotion of agricultural production in the region.
