Antalya Streets are Safe: No Passage for Criminals

Ministry of Internal Affairs Within the scope of the Turkey's Peace Project, the results of the public order studies throughout the city were shared with the public. At the security and public order information meeting held at Antalya Governorship Government House, the balance sheet of the operations carried out in June was announced. Provincial Police Chief Dr. attended the meeting held under the leadership of Governor Hulusi Şahin. Record Lighting Rate in Public Order Incidents

A total of 11,660 public order incidents occurred in June during the work carried out by the police, gendarmerie and coast guard teams in order to establish peace and security throughout the city. Governor Şahin announced that as a result of meticulous studies, these incidents were clarified with a record rate of 99.8 percent. While 5 thousand 911 people with search records for various crimes were caught, 990 of the suspects who were brought to justice were arrested and sent to prison. More than 1 million people and vehicles were questioned in 2,831 inspections, including shock applications; Many unlicensed weapons, stolen vehicles and millions of lira worth of crime proceeds were seized.

Heavy Blow to Smuggling and Poison Traders

The operations carried out within the scope of the fight against financial, organized and narcotic crimes did not slow down in June. While 336 suspects were prosecuted in 128 operations against smuggling and organized crime, 67 people were arrested for crimes such as establishing an organized crime group and bribery. In the field of fight against drugs, 1,62 operations were carried out, legal action was taken against 1,220 suspects, and 150 poison dealers were arrested. During the operations, hundreds of kilos of marijuana, heroin and skunk, as well as thousands of synthetic pills, were seized and the streets were cleaned.
