The 100th anniversary of the Cabotage Law, which is the symbol of the full independence of the Republic of Turkey at sea, was celebrated with enthusiastic events in Demre district. Governor Şahin, speaking at the ceremony, touched upon the importance of the dominance gained in Turkish territorial waters with the end of the capitulations. Stating that Türkiye is among the top 10 countries in the world in terms of civilian commercial boat capacity today, Şahin stated that the power in the seas is increasing with the support of the defense industry. Mentioning the tourism potential of the region, Şahin said; He noted that infrastructure and superstructure works are being carried out, including the revival of sea meadows, in order for points such as Kaleköy, Üçağız and Kekova to reach their deserved place. Following the protocol speeches, awards were given to the winners of the swimming competition, anchor competition and flyboard shows.
