Foster Families Provide Hope for the Future

Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin attended the program organized within The Land Of Legends in Serik district, within the scope of June 30 Foster Family Day. Important messages were given at the event, which was held to draw attention to the foster family service model implemented to ensure that children under protection grow up in safe, loving and supportive family environments and to raise social awareness.

Volunteer Families Became Examples of Compassion

Governor Şahin, speaking at the program, stated that foster families are the best example of compassion and mercy. Şahin stated that families unlimitedly give children the parental compassion and love they need without expecting anything in return, and expressed his gratitude to all families, stating that this situation is the best manifestation of the nation's compassion.

Exemplary Application Across Türkiye

Stressing that foster families are the embodiment of goodness, Governor Şahin stated that the foster family practice exists all over the world, but in Türkiye, this model is implemented much better because it is viewed with the eyes of pure goodness and pure love. Stating that every foster family establishes a bond by believing in the child's self and future, Şahin added that children are not separated from their families throughout their lives.

In addition to Governor Hulusi Şahin, Deputy Governor Erol Tanrıkulu, Serik District Governor Cemal Şahin, Family and Social Services Provincial Director Galip were present at the organized program. Sökmen, institution managers, foster families and children attended.
