Governor Şahin Emphasizes a Strong Future at the Republic Reception
Speaking at the Republic Day reception hosted by Antalya Governorship, Governor Şahin stated that Türkiye has the power to achieve further goals.
As part of the 103rd anniversary celebrations of October 29 Republic Day, a Republic Day Reception was held in Muratpaşa district by Antalya Governorship. Antalya provincial protocol, managers of public institutions and organizations, representatives of non-governmental organizations, families of martyrs, veterans and national athletes attended the reception. Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin, who welcomed the guests and congratulated them on their holidays, also made a speech at the event.
Antalya's Commitment to the Republic
Governor Şahin expressed his satisfaction with the gathering of representatives from all segments of Antalya and stated that they were proud of the city's commitment to the values of the Republic. Pointing out that the Republic is one of the greatest works of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, Şahin emphasized that this administration was an ideal that was difficult to understand at first, but it was clearly seen how integrated it was with the Turkish nation over the decades.
Target is Higher National Income
Comparing today's Turkey with the military and economic difficulties experienced in the past, Governor Şahin said that the great powers that were once called the "great powers" today accept the superiority of Türkiye. Reminding that the national income per capita, which was around 130 dollars in the first years of the Republic, has increased to 18 thousand dollars today, Şahin noted that the target is to reach 58 thousand dollars and that this potential is abundant in the Turkish nation.
Inclusive Nation Concept
Atatürk's "How happy is the one who says he is a Turk!" Emphasizing that the word is an encompassing definition far beyond its time, Governor Şahin stated that this expression does not contain racism or ethnic discrimination, but represents the spirit of a common future. Underlining that future generations will witness a much more advanced Turkey, Şahin concluded his speech with the message that the Republic will live forever. The program ended with Governor Şahin chatting with the guests and taking souvenir photos.
