Icy Coolness from Mayor Özçelik to Friends

Due to the increasing air temperatures throughout Alanya, Alanya Municipality teams implemented cooling measures to increase the living comfort of the creatures in the shelter. Within the scope of the work carried out under the leadership of Alanya Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik, iced fruit and vegetable cocktails prepared according to their species and energy needs are distributed to approximately 1500 animals of 115 species living in the center.

In the facility, where shade areas against heat waves have been increased, pools and fountain systems are operated uninterruptedly. Thanks to the methods applied, the living creatures are both cooled down and contribute to the strengthening of their social interactions by exhibiting their natural behaviors. Municipal authorities stated that special nutrition and cooling programs will be continued meticulously in order to protect the health of friends during the temperatures above seasonal norms.
