Konyaaltı Residents' Fear of Winter Ends

Antalya General Directorate of Water and Wastewater Administration (ASAT) has initiated a comprehensive study to prevent possible floods that may occur during the winter months. Open channels in the Konyaaltı area, which is within the area of responsibility, are cleaned meticulously before periods of heavy rainfall.

Intensive Overtime is Spended on Channels

As part of the work carried out, grass, reeds, tree branches, mud and solid waste accumulated in the open channels that allow rainwater to be discharged into the sea, especially during periods of heavy rainfall, are cleaned. The water flow rate of the canals is increased with the cleaning works carried out by work machines and pruning teams.

Bad Odor and Floods are Prevented

Thanks to these periodic cleaning works, it is aimed to prevent bad odor and pest problems that may occur in the region. It was reported that the works will continue uninterruptedly throughout the region to minimize the risk of floods and floods that may occur during the winter months.
