Kumluca Was Saved from Surrendering to the Flames at the Last Minute
Antalya Metropolitan Municipality fire brigade and support teams took the forest fire, which broke out close to settlements in Kumluca district, under control as a result of intense efforts.
A fire broke out in the Toptaş and Güzören neighborhoods of Antalya's Kumluca district, in an area close to residential areas, for an unknown reason. Upon notice, many teams were dispatched to the region.
Teams fought heart and soul
Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department teams, who intervened in the fire from the first moment, put up a great struggle to prevent the flames from spreading to the houses. 45 fire personnel actively served in fire extinguishing and cooling operations.
Broad Support for Extinguishing Efforts
In addition to the fire brigade, 45 personnel from ASAT and the Environmental Protection and Control Department also participated in the extinguishing operation. 1 dozer, 1 excavator, 1 backhoe loader, 3 diggers and 3 water tankers provided support to the work in the region. Thanks to the coordinated intervention of the teams, the flames were taken under control.
