Metropolitan Renews the Old Bridge in Demirtaş

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality is implementing the project to renovate the old bridge on the plateau route of 23 neighborhoods in Alanya's Demirtaş Valley and Gazipaşa residents. Within the scope of the works carried out under the coordination of the Road Construction Maintenance and Repair Department, it is aimed to demolish the existing structure and build a safer and more modern bridge in its place.

Alternative Route Opened for Transportation

Alternative road work was completed by the Metropolitan teams in order to ensure uninterrupted transportation during the bridge construction process. A box culvert was placed in the section that will provide passage over the Sapadere Stream and the traffic flow was transferred in this direction. After the installation of traffic and direction signs, vehicle traffic was turned into a service road. The demolition of the 60-year-old bridge is planned to be carried out this week.

Road Mobilization in Many Parts of Alanya

In addition to the bridge work, the municipal teams continue their maintenance and repair activities on the group roads that have deteriorated as a result of heavy rains. While hot asphalt paving was carried out on Toslak and Emişbeleni group roads, improvement works were carried out on the Dim group road dam surroundings, Gümüşkavak and Yaylakonak neighborhood roads.

In addition, the filling of the dents on the Kaplanhanı, İkievli, Tokar and Söğüt plateau roads was completed and safe transportation was provided. While concrete barriers were placed on the sharp bends on the Demirtaş Sapadere route, ice was applied to the problematic areas on the Kızılcaşehir and Akçatı roads.
