President Erdem's Roof Suggestion Excited the Associations

Alanya President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ALTSO) and new term Presidential Candidate Eray Erdem came together with the citizen associations operating in the district at the breakfast program before the elective general assembly to be held on October 10. At the meeting, the indispensable role of non-governmental organizations in the social and economic structure of the city was discussed.

Union of Power Under One Roof

Pointing out the vital mission of associations in urban development, Erdem stated that public and private sector cooperation can only be achieved with a strong civil society. Referring to his own association experience, Erdem recommended establishing a large-scale platform centered in Alanya instead of each association holding separate events. The idea of all associations uniting under the leadership of ALKOD and organizing a multicultural festival taking the structures in Antalya as an example was brought up for discussion.

Support from Associations to the Vision Project

The proposed confederation logic and the joint festival idea received great support from the participating association managers. As a result of the meeting, a consensus was reached to start working in this direction as of 2027. In addition, the project of gathering all citizen associations under a single service building, as in the Muratpaşa model, was also among the important topics evaluated.
