Antalya Water and Wastewater Administration General Directorate teams continue their cleaning work to ensure regular and effective operation of the rainwater infrastructure throughout the city. Within the scope of the work, rainwater lines are cleaned with combined vehicles, while periodic cleaning of the grates is carried out by field personnel.
Cleaning the Lines with Combined Vehicles
ASAT teams clean soil, sand, mud and various materials accumulated in rainwater lines with combined channel cleaning vehicles. Blockages in the line are removed with high pressure water and vacuum system, allowing rainwater to move through the line in a healthier way. During the work, the condition of the lines is checked and cleaning and intervention is carried out where necessary. Thus, studies are carried out to effectively use the capacity of rainwater lines during rainy periods.
The loopholes are being cleaned one by one
In addition to rainwater lines, cleaning works are also carried out on the streets and grates. Waste Management and Operations Branch Directorate teams clean the leaves, soil, plastic and similar waste accumulated on the grates, making it easier for water to reach the rainwater system from the grates. The work carried out throughout the city aims to preserve the functionality of the rainwater infrastructure and to keep the infrastructure ready against puddles that may occur during rainfall.
