Strict Traffic Measures on D-400 and Belek Line for COP31 Climate Summit in Antalya

Under the coordination of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality and the Governorship, transportation and security measures throughout the city were clarified within the scope of the United Nations COP31 Leaders Summit. In order to ensure that traffic flow is not disrupted and security is ensured at the highest level during the summit, special arrangements will be implemented in the Belek Hotels Region via the D-400 highway between 9-12 November.

Belek Hotels Area Declared Safe Area

In line with the decision taken, Belek Hotels Region will be given the status of a private security zone between 10-12 November. Vehicles and pedestrians will undergo detailed security inspection at checkpoints determined throughout the region. Persons without accreditation and unauthorized vehicles will not be allowed to enter the safe zone.

Alternative Route Warning for D-400 Highway

Within the scope of transportation planning, the passage of heavy tonnage, tipper, long and wide vehicles on the D-400 highway was restricted between 06.00 and 22.00 between 9 and 12 November. Authorities asked drivers and local people to choose alternative routes instead of the D-400 route between 10 and 12 November. While attention was drawn to the importance of using public transportation instead of private vehicles in order to reduce the density, it was stated that there would be no restrictions on Antalya Airport flights between 9 and 21 November.
