Sustainable Climate Partnership Between Antalya and Singapore

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality added a new one to its international contacts in line with its vision of a climate change-resistant and sustainable city. Deputy Mayor of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Büşra Özdemir hosted Singapore Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey Kok Li Peng and his accompanying delegation in his office.

Urban Sustainability and Climate Projects are on the Table

During the meeting, common steps that could be developed between the two cities in the fields of climate action, smart city applications, water and waste management, sustainable transportation and tourism, especially the COP31 process, were discussed comprehensively. Authorities emphasized the importance of steps to be taken at the local level against the global climate crisis.

Emphasis on International Experience Sharing

In the studies carried out to make Antalya a smart and sustainable city that is resistant to climate change, the importance of benefiting from the experiences of different world cities and developing new collaborations on a global scale was expressed.
