26 Years of Environmental Movement Received Appreciation

Speaking at the program, Governor Şahin stated that the caretta caretta conservation efforts, which have been carried out on a completely voluntary basis in the region for 26 years, are an exemplary environmental movement and thanked all the volunteers who contributed to these devoted efforts. Stating that the Antalya Blue Mediterranean Initiative was implemented to protect the seas and combat pollution, Şahin said that the sea pollution seen recently, especially on the coasts of Kemer and Alanya, once again reveals the importance of the work carried out. Pointing out that the Mediterranean is a vital habitat for many living species, Şahin concluded his speech by stating that environmental awareness should be further strengthened with the joint efforts of all countries bordering the Mediterranean.
