Years of Burial Needs Resolved in Kurşunlu Cemetery

In order to meet the increasing needs of the region's population, a comprehensive capacity increase work is being carried out in Kurşunlu City Cemetery, one of the most important burial areas of Antalya. In line with the plans, a feverish construction process was completed and the area was made ready for burial so that citizens would not experience any space or infrastructure problems during their painful days.

Infrastructure and Superstructure Completely Renewed

In the huge cemetery, which has a total area of 1 million 400 thousand square meters, the construction of 63 of the 196 burial islands designed has been completed. To facilitate transportation within the area, 31 thousand square meters of paving stones were laid. While 2,500 meters of rainwater lines were installed to prevent floods during the winter months, the production of 100 lighting poles for night visits and security and 123 fountains for the use of citizens was completed.

A Wide Area Will Be Served

It was reported that maintenance, repair and arrangement works are continuing simultaneously in all cemeteries in the wide area of responsibility extending from Gazipaşa to Kaş. With this strategic planning, Kurşunlu City Cemetery has reached its full capacity to fully meet the burial needs of the region by 2028.
