Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKÜ) Rector Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmet Türkdoğan, in his message published on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, stated that the most important duty of universities is to raise generations that are loyal to their homeland, questioning and producing science. Rector Türkdoğan stated that July 15 was not only the day when a treacherous coup attempt was prevented, but also a historical turning point when it was declared to the whole world that Türkiye could not be guided by tutelage centers. Noting that the biggest responsibility of universities is to transfer this spirit to future generations, Türkdoğan stated that they will continue to work to raise young people who are committed to national and spiritual values and embrace democracy and the rule of law.

Rector Türkdoğan stated that Türkiye has continued on its way independently of external interventions by strengthening its democracy in the last decade, and said that the holding of the NATO Summit, one of the most important security platforms in the world, in Ankara shows the diplomatic power of the country in the global security system. He also stated that the successes achieved through local and national breakthroughs in the defense industry further reinforced the independence of the country, and stated that, as Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University, they will continue to increase scientific production in every field with determination in line with the goals of the Turkish Century. Rector Türkdoğan completed his message by commemorating the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the country and expressing his gratitude to the heroic veterans.
