Alanya Mukhtars Grow Strong in the Academy Ranks

To the opening ceremony; Antalya Deputy Governor Tahsin Aksu, Alanya District Governor Şakir Öner Öztürk, Alanya Deputy Mayor Faruk Konukçu, ALKÜ Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kılıç, Prof. Dr. Atıf Bayramoğlu, Prof. Dr. Işık Bayraktar, Ministry of Internal Affairs General Directorate of Provincial Administration, Head of Mukhtars Department Suna Üstüner, Continuing Education Application and Research Center Director Prof. Dr. Feyza Meryem Kara, Alanya Headmen's Association President Rüştü Vural and neighborhood headmen attended.

The First Bridge Between the State and the Citizen

Referring to the importance of education, Deputy Governor Aksu stated that the headman's office is the citizen's first door to the state and that this application at the academic level will provide local administrators with great experience. District Governor Öztürk drew attention to the broad duties and responsibilities of muhtars determined by legislation. It was emphasized that the training of headmen, which is the most important element of local democracy, will spread throughout the country and provide great benefits to all districts.

Service Quality Will Increase with the Academy

Speaking on behalf of ALKÜ, which undertakes the academic side of the program, Vice Rector Kılıç stated that the activities in the neighborhoods will become of higher quality after this process. Head of Department Üstüner pointed out the value that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan gave to muhtars and reminded that thousands of muhtars have been hosted in the Complex so far. Association President Vural also stated that headmen fulfill their role as a bridge of love between the nation and the state with devotion. Certificates will be given to participants who complete the academy, which will be held on June 2-5.
